Video Players: The Portals of the Future

You've worked hard to get your customers to your Web site and now you have eight seconds to convince them to stay.  That's right.  The average Internet user decides if they will stay on a page or leave it within eight seconds.

Adding online video (surprise!) is a highly effective way to grab your customers' attention and convince them to spend time on your Web site, but what happens when they leave the online video portal to, say, learn more about a product or to sign up for your newsletter?  Typically, they're directed to a static page where you run the risk of losing their attention again.

So rather than directing users away from the Internet video that has captured their interest, we propose letting users do everything they want to do from the Web video player.  Genius, right?

Which is why VideoBloom creates custom online video players that allow users to perform any and all functions directly from the video player.

VideoBloom can create video player functionality to meet virtually any of your needs, but here are a few examples of what we have done in the past:

  • allow users to: email, embed, link, subscribe to your RSS feed, buy products, get more information, contact you, sign up for your newsletter, navigate directly to a Web page, request a sales quote and more... all from the Web video player.
  • feature bi-lingual video players that play the same Internet video in multiple languages
  • offer an online video map player where users can integrate their Web videos and playlists onto maps (click here to see this highly interactive tool in action)
  • blend seamlessly with your current Web design and graphics to ensure brand integration

In short, VideoBloom can add virtually any function to your custom Web video players, so start dreaming...

Below is an example of one of our advanced custom players created for TriNet, a HR outsourcing firm.  It has collapsible wings that feature customer testimonial videos on one side and customer quotes on the other.  Additionally, the player allows users subscribe to the player feed via RSS, bookmark the video player,
email the videos, contact TriNet and visit the TriNet homepage.
